Zero investment
We install. You save.
Energy Infrastructure as a Service: we fund, install and operate the solar PV and battery storage system. You subscribe — and the service fee is always lower than your savings. The difference is yours from day one.
How does it work?
Assessment
We analyse the consumption profile, the site and the electricity contract, and determine the optimal system size.
Installation
We fund and install the system — turnkey. You pay no capital cost.
Savings
The system generates savings. The service fee is always lower than the savings — the difference is yours.
Flexibility
At the end of the contract period: purchase at a discounted price, continuation at a reduced fee, or hand-back.
The basic formula
Current energy cost
Your site’s electricity bill today — energy fee and system usage charge combined.
− Service fee
A fixed monthly fee for the complete service. In every case lower than the reduction in energy cost.
= Your savings
The difference is yours from the very first month — with no negative payback period.
Benefits
Why the service model?
Zero CAPEX
No capital cost. We provide the entire funding requirement — your capital stays free for business growth.
Cash-flow positive from day one
The service fee is lower than the savings from the first month. There is no negative payback period — the benefit is immediate.
Predictable costs
A fixed service fee against volatile energy prices. We carry the risk arising from energy price volatility, not you.
No technology risk
We are responsible for system performance and maintenance. Warranty handling, monitoring, component replacement — your job is to enjoy the savings.
Off balance sheet
The service fee is an operating cost (OPEX), not debt. Your borrowing capacity remains untouched.
Flexible contract options
A contract period of 4–15 years. At the end: purchase at a discounted price, continuation at a degressive fee, or hand-back.
What is included
What does the service cover?
The service is technology-agnostic: solar PV, battery storage, or both — tailored to your needs.
ICP provides: design and technical sizing (with simulation), full funding, turnkey installation and commissioning, permitting and grid connection, continuous remote monitoring, maintenance and warranty handling, and a system performance guarantee.
You provide: the roof area or site area, access to the grid connection, and consumption data for the design.
Industrial solar PV
50 kWp – 5 MWp, roof- or ground-mounted.
Battery storage (BESS)
Lithium-ion, in the 50 kW – 5 MW power range.
PV + BESS combination
An optimised joint system — the two assets compensate for each other’s weaknesses.
At the end of the contract period
Three options — you decide
Purchase
You may purchase the system at a discounted price. After that the energy generated is practically free — the system keeps producing for 15+ years.
Continuation
You continue at a degressive service fee — the fee falls and the savings grow. Optionally moving towards purchase.
Hand-back
If you no longer wish to use the system, we dismantle and remove it. No further obligation whatsoever.
ESG and green energy
Not all “green” energy is equal
There are three ways to source renewable energy on the market. They are not equivalent — neither for ESG ratings, nor for the EU taxonomy, nor for real carbon reduction. The key is the physical connection: whether the system is directly connected to the site behind the same connection point.
1. Guarantee of Origin (GO) — weak
A paper-based certificate allowing the consumer to classify electricity bought from the grid as “green”. The physical electron stays the same — only the certificate is green. The EU taxonomy and most ESG frameworks treat this as the weakest level.
2. Virtual PPA (vPPA) — medium
A financial contract with a remote renewable plant. The consumer pays a fixed price, the generator receives the market price, and the difference is settled. Stronger than a GO because additionality can be evidenced. But the physical electron does not come from the consumer’s site.
3. On-site behind-the-meter renewable — strongest — BTMBehind-the-meter: an on-site system on the customer side of the meter that cannot export to the grid.More in the glossary →
The site physically consumes the electron generated by the solar system installed on site — directly or via the battery storage. Same connection point, direct cable, measurable self-consumption. The EU taxonomy and the strictest ESG frameworks (SBTi, RE100) consider this best practice. ICP delivers this level in both models.
The ESG benefits in concrete terms
EU taxonomy alignment
On-site behind-the-meter renewables meet the “substantially contributes” criterion of the green taxonomy.
Measurable CO₂ reduction
Our simulation calculates precise annual CO₂ savings — directly usable in ESG reporting.
Energy independence
Grid imports and market price exposure fall — more predictable operation, lower risk.
Available without investment
In the service model the ESG benefits are available immediately — no CAPEX allocation is needed for ESG targets.
Questions about the service
What happens if the savings are lower than expected?+
The service fee is fixed in the contract, and we take responsibility for the performance of the system. If the system does not generate at the planned level, that is our risk — not yours.
Who owns the system during the contract period?+
The system remains the property of ICP throughout the contract period. You gain access to the savings in return for the service fee. At the end of the contract period you may purchase it at a discounted price.
What kind of sites is it suitable for?+
Any industrial site with annual consumption of at least 100,000 kWh and available roof or ground area. Factories, warehouses, logistics centres, food plants — the service is optimised for the consumption profile.
Can it be combined with the Jedlik grant?+
Yes. If the grant is received by ICP (as the owner of the system), the support results in a lower service fee for you. The corporate tax incentive can also be claimed on the ICP side — both reduce your service fee.
