About the call
What is the Jedlik Ányos Energy Programme?
Funded by the Modernisation Fund — with a total budget of HUF 50 billion — the Jedlik Ányos Energy Programme supports battery storage investments by Hungarian businesses. The official title of the call is “Support for renewable-based energy generation and energy storage for businesses”. The call is managed by the National Energy Agency (NEÜ Zrt.).
The primary aim of the programme is the installation of industrial battery storage systems, alongside which renewable generation capacity for self-consumption (solar PV) can also be built — up to 33% of the awarded grant.
Micro, small, medium-sized and large enterprises are all eligible to apply. Submissions opened on 10 February 2026 and remain open until a suspension notice is published. The level of support depends on company size and can reach up to 50% of eligible costs.

Technical requirements
What the call requires
Successful delivery requires precise design and an experienced contractor. ICP provides both.
75% renewable share
At least 75% of the stored energy must come from a renewable source (solar PV) on an annual basis. If this is not met, the entire grant must be repaid.
Storage ≥ 20% of PV peak
The power rating of the battery storage must be at least 20% of the renewable generation capacity. Correct sizing is critical.
3 independent quotations
At least 3 independent, comparable quotations are required to substantiate the market price of every cost item.
Deadline: 31 Dec 2028
The final deadline for the physical completion of the project. Design and permitting take time — the sooner you start, the better.
Single site, multiple PODs possible
The project may span several land parcels and several PODs, provided they form a single site and the generation forms one integrated system.
3-year maintenance period
Monitoring and evidencing the 75% renewable share is mandatory throughout the maintenance period set out in the grant agreement.
Jedlik + TAO combination
Maximise your
aid intensity
The Jedlik Ányos call provides a non-refundable cash grant, while §22/H of the Corporate Tax Act (TAO) provides a tax credit — from 1 January 2024, over 6 years. The two sources can be combined, but under the EU GBER rules the combined aid intensity may not exceed the maximum for your company size.
If the grant does not give you the maximum intensity, you can top it up with the TAO incentive — reaching the GBER ceiling and minimising your own contribution.

Why ICP?
We are not grant writers — we are contractors
As a member of the Illés Group, ICP Industrial CleanPower works exclusively on industrial B2B solar PV and battery storage projects. From 50 kWp to several MWp.
Comprehensive technical design
We size solar PV + battery storage systems with our in-house energy simulation engine. We optimise on the basis of 15-minute consumption data, HUPX market prices and real consumption profiles — not templates.
Guaranteeing the 75% share
The most critical condition of the call is meeting the 75% renewable charging share. Our simulation models this share in advance, based on site-specific solar generation and consumption data.
Turnkey installation
From design through permitting to turnkey handover — a single accountable party. Battery storage, solar PV, inverters, monitoring, grid connection, commissioning.
An option without capital investment, too
If the own contribution required by the grant is a problem, under the Energy Infrastructure as a Service model we fund the investment. You subscribe, and the service fee is always lower than the savings.
The process
From grant application to turnkey system
Free consultation
We review the grant award document, the site conditions and the consumption profile, and determine the optimal system size.
Technical design and simulation
We run a simulation from 15-minute consumption data: solar generation, storage sizing, 75% share check, payback calculation.
Proposal and contract
A detailed technical and financial proposal. A transparent budget that meets the grant’s cost-reporting requirements.
Permitting
Grid connection application (MGT), building permit (if required), MEKH notification. Full administration handled for you.
Installation and commissioning
Solar PV installation, BESS, inverters, cabling, monitoring system. Trial operation, technical handover, documentation.
Monitoring and maintenance
Remote monitoring system, continuous monitoring of the 75% share, annual reports for the grant maintenance period.
Eligible activities
What does the grant fund?
Battery storage systems
- Lithium-ion batteries (Li-ion BESS)
- Flow batteries
- Thermal storage solutions
- Control hardware and software
- Monitoring and metering system
Solar PV system
- Building a photovoltaic (PV) system
- Extending an existing PV system
- Inverters and mounting structures
- Cabling, grid connection
Support spent on the solar PV system may be at most 33% of the awarded grant. PV generation may not exceed the site’s annual consumption.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Jedlik implementation
Until when can applications be submitted?
Submissions opened at 10:00 on 10 February 2026. The call remains open until a suspension notice is published — no suspension has occurred so far. The implementation deadline is 31 December 2028, but design, permitting and procurement take months. The sooner you start, the more room for manoeuvre you have.
What happens if the 75% renewable share is not met?
Failing to meet the 75% renewable charging share can result in repayment of the entire grant. That is why accurate up-front design and simulation are critical. ICP’s simulation engine models this share in advance from real consumption and generation data, so compliance can be secured as early as the design phase.
Can the Jedlik grant and the TAO tax incentive be combined?
Yes, but cumulation rules apply. The Jedlik grant is a non-refundable cash grant, while §22/H of the Corporate Tax Act (TAO) is a tax credit. Under the EU GBER rules the combined aid intensity may not exceed the maximum for your company size (small: 50%, medium-sized: 40%, large: 30%). If the grant does not reach the maximum, you can top it up with the TAO incentive.
What data is needed for a proposal?
The most important is the 15-minute electricity consumption data series (for at least 1 year), which you can request from your distribution system operator. We also need the site plan or a satellite image, the grid connection parameters and the data of any existing solar PV system.
Can you apply for battery storage alone, without solar PV?
Yes. Under the call, battery storage installation is the only activity eligible on a standalone basis. Solar PV can only be included as a supplementary activity, up to 33% of the awarded grant. If there is already a solar PV system on site, the battery storage alone is eligible.
